Synopsis This course will focus on the step-by-step evaluation of patients with uveitis by using case presentations to illustrate specific uveitis entities. Each course instructor will present interesting cases as unknowns for discussion by the panel of instructors.
Course attendees will also be invited to present their own mystery cases by submitting the cases in advance. The rationale for ordering laboratory evaluations / ancillary tests and for the treatment plan will be explained in detail.
Objectives Attendees will have ample opportunity to participate in this interactive course and will experience how a uveitis specialist analyzes each patient. Presentations will include both infectious and noninfectious entities in patients with anterior, intermediate, posterior, and pan-uveitis. Special emphasis will be given to the newest treatment modalities. At the completion of this course, the attendee will be able to formulate a tailored laboratory evaluation for the entities presented.
